Terrazzo floor restoration
E2E restores existing residential terrazzo floors with work scoped to their condition. Worn areas, patchy reflection and visible marks can leave you unsure whether the floor needs cleaning, refinishing or a broader restoration plan. We help separate those concerns and agree the work around the floor you have.

Start with the condition, not a package
Restoration is broader than polishing. Polishing addresses the finish; restoration considers the floor's existing condition and which corrective work is appropriate. A floor with uneven wear presents a different problem from one with discoloration and visible cracks.
During the walkthrough, point out where the appearance changes and anything you know about previous work. An area that looks dirty may have finish wear, residue or absorbed discoloration. Understanding the difference helps keep the scope focused on the problem rather than adding services by default.
Some floors need limited care. Others need a wider discussion about existing damage and achievable appearance. You do not have to know the technical name for the work before contacting us.

The terrazzo system shapes the work
Terrazzo is aggregate held in a binder, rather than quarried natural stone. Both components affect treatment. A cement-based binder behaves differently from an epoxy binder, and the exposed aggregate has its own care requirements.
Existing surface treatments and previous work matter as well. We consider those alongside the visible condition before agreeing the restoration scope. A recommendation for one terrazzo floor is not automatically right for another.
Our terrazzo floor-care overview explains how restoration relates to honing, polishing and suitable sealing. Those are possible care needs, not a fixed sequence every homeowner must purchase.
Decide what a better floor means to you
You may want worn areas to look more consistent, a more reflective finish or a lower-sheen appearance. Tell us which matters most. That choice helps define the finish work within the restoration plan.
If the floor is otherwise in satisfactory condition and your main concern is sheen, terrazzo floor polishing and honing may be the more relevant service. Keeping finish work separate from broader condition concerns makes the decision easier.
Older discoloration and visible damage need realistic expectations. Some marks can remain after restoration. We discuss which areas can improve and which conditions may remain visible, then record those expectations in the agreed scope.
Our process
A walkthrough before work and at completion
The initial walkthrough gives you a chance to show us the whole concern, including areas where previous work has left a different appearance. We agree the areas to be treated, the work included and the expected result before proceeding.
When the work is finished, we review it with you during a completion walkthrough and customer signoff. We address issues identified within the agreed scope before considering the job complete.
Questions about restoration
Does restoration always mean a glossy floor?
No. Restoration addresses condition. The finish is a separate choice, assessed against your terrazzo and preferences. A lower-reflection result may suit your home better than a more reflective finish.
Should I mention old stains and cracks in my inquiry?
Yes. Describe where they are and whether they have changed. They need consideration separately from dullness, and their presence does not establish that polishing will resolve them.
Do I need to request a full restoration?
You can simply describe the problem. The walkthrough helps establish whether limited care or broader work makes sense for your floor.
